Russell Robinson, Ed.D.

Russell Robinson is the founder of Amplified Research + Consulting, LLC, where his work focuses on conducting research and providing solutions to employee engagement, employee voice and talent management challenges. 

Additionally, Russell is a Program Director and Professorial Lecturer within American University’s (AU) School of Public Affairs. In these roles, he is the Director of the Key Undergraduate Leadership Certificate Program. Also, he teaches undergraduate and graduate-level leadership and public administration courses.

Prior to working at AU, Russell spent 22 years in the civil service working for four federal government agencies. He worked with leaders on being strong and inspiring, selecting and developing talent, and creating an open and safe culture. 

As a passionate champion of employee engagement, Russell has spoken at several domestic and international conferences focusing on aspects that improve the workforce experience for civil servants. 

Russell holds a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Organizational Learning from George Washington University.  He received his Master’s in Public Administration degree from American University and his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the University of Dayton.
